Ultra-Trail Snowdonia

On the hottest day of the year so far, on Sunday 11th May Lorna Mitchell represented the club at the 50km OTMB Ultra Trail Race in Snowdonia.

On the race website, it says the “UTS 50K acts as the perfect stepping stone into Alpine-scale mountain ultra-running, taking in several technical mountain trails around the Snowdon massif.”

The 50km was actually 57km and as if that wasn’t enough, there was also 11,000+ feet of climbing involved !

The race started at 7:30am and Lorna was still running nearly 13 hours later, finishing the race in an official time of 12 hours 53 minutes exactly.

Well done once again Lorna !!
